Amramp Northern New Jersey, which serves Amramp clients from Union County at the southern end of the territory, all the way up to the New York State border, including Orange and Rockland counties, is locally owned and operated by Jack Pignatello. Jack's team is encouraged by the fact that their work positively affects people's lives, and provides freedom to some people who have been housebound for long periods of time.

Housed in a century-old former New York industrialist’s residence, the Highland Mills, N.Y., retreat center needed to accommodate visitors and residents who have difficulty climbing stairs. The center contacted Amramp NNJ to install an ADA-compliant ramp at one of the building’s entrances.

Should you rent or buy?

If you anticipate having your ramp for 5 months or more, you’re probably better off purchasing. Amramp Northern New Jersey worked with Bloomfield College, in Bloomfield, N.J., while the college renovated a handicap-accessible dorm. Since the renovation prevented use of the handicap entrance, Amramp NNJ installed an ADA-compliant ramp on a temporary basis until construction was complete.
